Based on the Yugoslav M-77 Organj rocket artillery system, the locally produced M-96 Taifun (Typhoon) used heavier 122 mm rockets and the system was mounted on a local Tatra 8x8 truck cab/chassis. You can see the distinctive Tatra drive and suspension system underneath. A rough equivalent in the western arsenal would be the HIMARS system. This brute was on display at the outdoor military museum at Vukovar, Croatia. If it had not been a 35° day, a lot more of the exhibits would have been photograhped!
